Detectives have charged a man in connection with the alleged rape of two women in Stockton.
The 31-year-old was arrested on September 10 at a property in Middlesbrough.
The Crown Prosecution Service authorised detectives to charge him with three counts of rape against two women.
He will be kept in custody before appearing at Teesside Magistrates Court on Friday, September 12.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: ""Following questioning by detectives from Cleveland Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) the Crown Prosecution Service authorised he be charged with three counts of rape against two women.

"Two counts of rape relate to one of the women and one count relates to the other woman.
"He has been remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Thursday 12 September.
"The charges relate to two women reporting serious sexual assaults in the Yarm Road area which occurred on Saturday 7 September and the early hours of Sunday 8 September."
