A teenager is set to appear in court for driving with no licence or insurance after police seized two electric motorbikes late last week.
Officers spotted and seized the vehicles whilst on patrol on Forber Road in Middlesbrough on September 6, and seized the two male riders which included a 17-year-old boy.
The boy is now set to appear in court.
Police also seized another bike a day later on Chippenham Road which was later revealed to be not road-legal - and is set to be disposed of by police.
A Cleveland Police statement reads: "Two electric motorbikes have been seized in Middlesbrough after they were spotted by Proactive Team officers on patrol.
"On Friday evening (September 6) officers spotted a motorbike on Forber Road, with two male riders – neither of them wearing helmets.
"One rider was detained a short distance away.
"A 17-year-old boy was reported for summons for driving with no licence or insurance and the bike was seized."

It continues: "On Saturday, September 7 officers spotted another bike on Chippenham Road, being ridden illegally.
"Officers seized the bike after locating it at an address.
"The bike was not road legal and will now be disposed of by police."
