A man has been taken to hospital after an incident on a County Durham bridge.
Emergency services were called to the County Bridge in Barnard Castle at about 2.30pm on Wednesday (September 4) after concerns for a man’s welfare.
The road was closed for about six hours and the man was taken to hospital at about 8.30pm.
The bridge has since reopened to motorists.
