A North East business owner has been left 'overwhelmed' after an image of her Deli's breakfast sandwich the size of a man's head went viral on social media.
The sandwich, available for only £10, is sold by Wilson's Deli in North Shields who were propelled to internet stardom after a snap of the stottie was shared online by Hartlepool resident Mick Mcloughlin.
His post in the Facebook group 'North East Tea Time Grub' quickly rose in views and has now been seen by more than one million people.
Mr Mcloughlin works nearby the deli on a scaffolding site and visited Wilson's with two of his colleagues.
"It got to bait time so we decided to go in search of a sandwich shop and came across the deli," he said.
"The two lads went in, they both ordered the massive sandwich. I opted for a sensible chicken and cheese toastie which was lovely."

His colleagues 'got stuck into' the massive sandwich but fell short and were unable to complete it.
"They enjoyed it and said they would go back and try and finish it next time we are up that way," he said.
Mr Mcloughlin was stunned that the post had got the amount of traction that it had, saying he had saw the post on multiple different social media sites.
"I can't believe it's attracted so much attention. I hope the shop owner has made a bit more business through it all."
Owner of the Deli, Claire Gilvert, who has been in charge of the store for around five months, said she was 'overwhelmed' by the amount of people that had interacted with her business since the post went viral.
"Oh my God, we went from selling 10 of the sandwiches a week and this week we have sold 50 or 60!" she told The Northern Echo.
"I'm stuck for words. I'm overwhelmed, I feel over the moon."
Ms Gilvert said the business had been going through a bit of a drop in custom over the school holidays "but this last week has just been mental."
Popular North East internet personality 'Kyle v Food' even popped into the store to record a TikTok video on the massive stotty and the Deli recently surpassed 1,000 Facebook followers.
