Police are ‘increasingly concerned’ about a missing teenager last seen at about 1pm today.
Fifteen-year-old Holly Foster was last seen at about 1pm on Thursday (August 29) in her home town of Birtley and has not been seen or heard from since.
Police believe Holly is known to frequent Chester-le-Street, but could have travelled anywhere in the County Durham, Tyne & Wear or Northumberland areas.
Officers say both they and Holly’s family are “growing increasingly concerned for her welfare”.
The teenager is believed to be wearing a black Nike hoodie, cream leggings and black trainers.
She is described as white, 5ft6in tall, of slim build, with blonde hair in a plait and a nose piercing.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: “Officers are appealing for the public’s assistance to locate a teenager from Gateshead who is currently missing.
“Holly, or anyone who might know where she is, should contact police immediately. Contact police by sending a direct message on social media, using the live chat function on the Force website or by calling 101 quoting log number NP-20240829-0501.”
