Dogs Trust Darlington have plenty of rescue dogs looking for a forever home this month.

Winston, a sweet and small Shih Tzu, is a gentle soul who needs a bit of time to form a bond. This 2-5 year old lad would thrive in an adult-only home without visiting children.

Although he’s wary of formal handling, Winston enjoys playtime with other dogs and would do well with a furry friend.

Prospective adopters should be prepared to visit Winston a few times at the centre to build a bond before taking him home.

Della

Della, a young American Bulldog, is full of potential and personality.

At just 1-2 years old, she’s looking for a dedicated and patient owner to help her grow in confidence.

Della thrives in quieter environments and would do best in an adult-only household with no other pets.

With ongoing training and love, Della is sure to flourish and become a well-mannered, fun-loving companion.

Scamp

Scamp is a 5-year-old Jack Russell cross who has experienced a lot of change in his life. This small and sensitive dog needs a calm, quiet, adult-only home where he can feel safe and loved.

Scamp requires daily medication for his epilepsy, but this doesn’t stop him from being a loving, playful companion who enjoys snuggling up on the sofa.

Evie, a crossbreed aged 2-5 years, is an affectionate and fun-loving girl ready to start her new life. After caring for a litter at the shelter, Evie is now looking for her forever home where she can be the centre of attention.

She can live with older children and possibly another dog, provided they get along during a meet at the centre.

With her playful nature and love for snuggles, Evie will keep her new family entertained and loved.

Blain

Blain, a 1-year-old Lurcher cross Malinois, is a sensitive lad who needs a peaceful and predictable environment.

He’s looking for a family with secondary school-aged children and a secure garden where he can play and relax.

Blain is still building his confidence, so slow introductions to new experiences are key.

With the right care, Blain will become a loving and loyal companion.

Scarlett

Scarlett, an excitable Akita aged 2-5 years, is searching for a confident family who can handle her size and energy.

Scarlett loves spending time with her human pals and would enjoy having a garden to play in.

Although she’s not particularly interested in toys, she’s a playful character who would benefit from some basic training.

Scarlett would do best as the only dog in a household with older children.

This lovely lady needs to be the only pet in an adult-only home where she can have her own space to enjoy meals and relax.
