Maybe you have recently been on holiday and were asked if you’re a Geordie? Or you’ve made reference to Durham Cathedral one too many times when making conversation with someone outside of the county.
We received almost 100 comments with your excellent responses, so here’s a selection of some of the most popular.
How do you know you're from County Durham?
One person wrote: “You are compelled to correct the other person's pronunciation of Durham.”
