A person is in hospital with ‘serious injuries’ following a motorcycle crash on a North East road.
Cleveland Police confirmed a crash took place on California Road in Eston, Middlesbrough involving a motorbike and a car shortly before 11pm on Saturday (August 10).
They also confirmed the rider of the motorbike fled the scene, and their passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Shortly before 11pm on Saturday 10 August, a collision occurred on California Road in Eston involving a motorbike and a car.

“The rider of the motorbike fled the scene and their passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“We're establishing the circumstances of the collision and asking if anyone has information, CCTV or dash cam footage that could assist our investigation.
