A second-hand bookshop in Darlington has donated £5,000 to St Teresa's Hospice.
The popular shop on Blackwellgate has now raised an astonishing £15,000 in the last year.
Darlington Lions Charity Bookshop receives donations from families around the town which they then sell and donate the proceeds to local good causes.
This year they have been focusing on supporting St Teresa's Hospice.
At the 63rd charity handover dinner Lions President Pat de Martino presented a cheque to the honorary chair of St Teresa's in Darlington, Carol Charlton.
A spokesperson for the Lions Charity Bookshop said: "Thanks largely to the success of our bookshop, Darlington Lions Club has donated £5,000 to St Teresa's Hospice taking the total gifted to the local charity to £15,000 in the past 12 months.
