The first images of a new restaurant opening in Darlington at the start of next month have been revealed - with the venue transformed from its previous use.
Opening up in the former site of JJ's, on Crown Street - Taipan Asia has offered a sneak peek into what customers can expect from the new offering.
Take a look inside new restaurant Taipan Darlington:
Boasting a range of fusion dishes, Taipan will have a champagne bar and two cocktail bars - with its owners, Lee Corner and his wife Apple, excited to start the journey.
The owners of Taipan might be familiar to some, having built up an impressive name with Thai Terminal One restaurant near Teesside Airport, which has been listed as one of the best restaurants in the town on TripAdvisor.
In the first images of Taipan, the sleek seating areas and high-end feel of the restaurant will be matched by the food, according to the new owners.
Mr Corner said: "We want to deliver a high-end experience at an affordable price.
"We hope to keep a lot of the customers of Thai Terminal One and have already spoken to a lot of our regular customers."
Despite all of the interest surrounding Taipan, the owners say that they are going to take a soft-open approach to the restaurant, so they don't become overwhelmed with the occasion.

Mr Corner added: "With Thai Terminal One, we built it from the ground up, so we want to do the same with Taipan, and we intend to take our time.
"We are nervous about opening because it's a big challenge, but excited to see what the future brings."
Taipan will start to welcome customers from the start of August but will be putting out more information on its website and social media pages about booking tables.
