One person was taken to hospital following a crash on a busy Darlington road this evening (Wednesday, November 15).
Emergency services were alerted to the collision on Grange Road, Darlington, shortly before 5pm today.
Several police vehicles and an ambulance attended the scene outside Vets4Pets, was the road was closed in both directions.
Paramedics treated one person at the scene, before taking the patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital.
The road was closed for a number of hours, while police carried out their inquiries and the scene was cleared.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson: "We were called to a road traffic collision today (15 November) on Grange Road in Darlington at 16:50pm.

"We dispatched one ambulance crew and took one patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital."
