It is set to be a wet and cloudy in Darlington and across the North East today (September 19) as the Met Office predicts both showers and overcast clouds.
Autumnal weather has taken a hold in Darlington as we move swiftly towards dark nights and cooler temperatures.
This has been reflected in today’s Met Office forecast, which shows we can expect bursts of heavy rain throughout the day.

The forecaster has predicted a particularly damp start to the morning with a 50% chance of rain at 8am, rising to 70% at 9am.
As the day progresses, temperatures are set to reach up to 17C, and remaining at this temperature as the night continues.
There will be highs of 18C and lows of 16C, with the sun due to set at 7:13pm.
