A Teesside hotel has announced they will be celebrating all things pink later this month as they hold a Barbie-themed summer party, inspired by Greta Gerwig's blockbuster movie.

Barbies and Kens from across the North East have been invited to don their best pink outfits and channel their inner Barbie at the Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield on August 30.

The children's themed summer party, or Barbie-q as it is fondly being called, includes an interactive show, disco and games, with all proceeds raised being donated to the Teesside Hospice.

A prize is also on offer for the best Barbie and Ken, meaning there is unlimited scope to either be a Nobel Prize-winning Barbie or channel your inner Mojo Dojo Casa House as Ken.

Alan Geddes, Events and Community Manager from Teesside Hospice, said: “Hardwick Hall Hotel will transform into ‘Barbieland’ for the day.

“A huge thanks must go to the hotel for supporting the hospice as all profits raised on the day will allow us to continue to support people and families, across Teesside, who have been affected by a terminal illness.”

Attendees can then dance the night away at the disco whilst enjoying games and unlimited popcorn and candyfloss.
