A medal from a season unique in North East football history is among the items up for auction in a sporting memorabilia sale.
Bishop Auckland were one of two teams to win the Northern League in the 1905/06 season.
That's because, for one season only, the Northern League was split into two sections - one for professional teams and one for amateurs.
Bishop Auckland were the amateur champions, with Sunderland 'A' winning the professional section
After this one season they reverted back to one league only.
A Bishop Auckland Northern League winners medal from that season is among items being sold by Midlands Sports Auctions, bidding for which is now open.
The medal, awarded to a GN Douglas and inscribed with his name, has an auctioneers estimate of £260 to £300.
Also up for sale is a runners-up medal for the 1906 Amateur Cup, again awarded to GN Douglas. This medal has an estimate of £460 to £500.
The match, played in wintry conditions at Stockton, was between Oxford City and Bishop Auckland.
Bishops, who would go on to become the must successful team in the competition's history, lost the match 3-0.
More than 300 Oxford fans made the 230-mile trip north in a special train, decked in blue and white flags, the team’s colours.
After their victory, the players returned to Oxford to a heroes’ welcome.
Two of their players, Harold Tabernacle and Guy Dickinson, were among ten from the club who later lost their lives in the First World War.
Other items in the auction include a programme from the 1956 Amateur Cup Final Replay at Middlesbrough's Ayresome Park.
Bishop Auckland beat Corinthian Casuals 4-1 to record the second in a hat-trick of wins in the competition.
