Three people were injured, and three men arrested after reports of a large group of men wearing masks and armed with weapons appeared at an address in Hartlepool.

The incident happened at the rear of an address on Howden Road in the town shortly after 7:30pm on Monday, March 27.

Callers reporting the incident to the police said the men were threatening others inside a shed while others attacked the building.

The four vehicles spotted outside the property relating to the incident are; a silver Ford Focus, a silver 4x4 vehicle, a blue BMW, and a dark 4x4 vehicle.

Police are now appealing to the public for information and witnesses.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Hartlepool Detectives are appealing for information after an incident at the rear of an address on Howden Road in the town.

“Police received reports at 7.42pm and at 7.43pm on Monday, March 27 that a large group of masked men arrived in several vehicles, armed with weapons. 

“Callers reported the men were threatening others inside a shed while attacking the building.

“Three people were injured and three men aged 18, 21 and 27 were arrested, questioned, and released on bail pending further enquiries.
