A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in a horror crash in North Yorkshire.
Emergency services were called to Forest Avenue in Harrogate at around 7.55pm on Wednesday, November 30, following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
After arriving on the scene, police officers established that the collision was between a silver Nissan Micra and a man crossing the road.
It's believed that the Micra was turning right from Starbeck High Street onto Forest Avenue when it collided with a male pedestrian.

The male pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious head and shoulder injuries.
He remains in a stable condition.
The stretch of road was closed while officers investigated the scene.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
