And it hasn't taken long for it to become a popular business in Stanley - enjoying five-star reviews from happy customers on social media, while also amassing over 8000 followers on social media for sharing its mouth-watering burgers and fries.

With success, though, comes the opportunity to expand the business.

Posting on social media on Sunday (November 20), Zahut's Burgers set out its plans for the future, including moving a little further north to a cabin outside Namaste restaurant in Sunniside, Gateshead.

It now means that the Stanley business will close its doors on December 10 this year, and move into its new home in the new year.

While an exact date hasn't been set as of yet, the owners of the burger venue has promised some exciting plans moving forward.

Speaking on the post, Zahut's Burgers said: "Most know that we close doors in Tanfield Road on December 10 and will be wondering where I'm moving to.

"So, here it is. I'm moving to a cabin outside Namaste in Sunniside. I know this is taking it away from Stanley but this is basically ready to go when I am, which is what I need.

"So I will be trading from here at the beginning of the new year."

After sharing the groundbreaking update, Zahut's Burgers also updated fans of the brand that it's also looking into taking over the old Mr Krusty's in South Moor.

Their post added: "That's not all though, I'm also looking at getting the old Mr Krustys at South Moor.

"It needs work done inside and will take time which I will be getting done alongside running the cabin.

"Hopefully, if things work out we will have a new shop with a dine-in experience sometime later in 2023.

"So we hope you keep supporting us so we can bring it back to Stanley bigger and better!"
