Pictures have revealed the huge long tailbacks after a white van flipped over on the A19, causing chaos.
The aftermath of the white van incident was captured by passers-by on the stretch of road in Stockton towards Middlesbrough.
The incident, which has been showing up on the AA traffic alerts, is believed to have happened at around 11am.

As a result, huge long tailbacks have been spotted with all lanes gridlocked on the southbound carriageway.
In a brief statement, the AA said: "Road closed and queueing traffic due to rolled over vehicle on A19 Southbound at A1046 Haverton Hill Road (Portrack Interchange).
"Congestion to the Norton Interchange. Detour in operation - via the exit and entry slip roads."
