The family of a "wonderful" dad and son who died in a trampoline accident have released the funeral details for those who want to pay their respects.

Rob Harcourt, 37, passed away in the arms of his loved ones last month after suffering from a "catastrophic" injury while attempting a backflip at his friend's house.

The scaffolder, who had been treated in the Intensive Care Unit at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, was left paralysed from the chest down.

He later underwent a second operation to help stabilise his neck, but according to his mum, suffered a pulmonary embolism, causing a cardiac arrest and brain damage.

As a result, he had been transferred to a hospice to receive round-the-clock care but died with his family by his side shortly after.

At the time, Rob's mum Jackie Graves paid heartfelt tributes to her "wonderful" son and dad as his girlfriend, Jade Higgins revealed she is 15 weeks pregnant with their child.

Last night, Jackie has released the details of Rob's funeral and wake as she urged anyone who wants to attend to do so, but to dress in black.

She confirmed Rob's funeral would take place at 2pm on Saturday, September 10 at Blue House Woodland Burials at Hurworth Burn Road, near Wingate.

She said that afterward, friends and family would meet at Eston Labour Club as a celebration of Rob's life.

She added: "I think Rob is more likely to want people to help his growing family rather than send flowers, so please donate to the GoFundMe instead of flowers, thank you."

So far, that very GoFundMe page, which had been set up following the accident, has so far seen almost £11,000 raised by hundreds of people.

Organiser Amanda Jones, from Llangwyryfon, near Aberystwyth, whose husband Alan was a friend of Rob's, said he was a "popular guy" and a "great friend."
