Inquiries are ongoing after two people were found dead in a North East house.
Police attended the property on The Quadrant in North Shields on Monday after concerns were raised when a woman did not turn up for work.
Officers found a man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s dead in the house.

The deaths are being treated as unexplained but there is not thought to be a wider risk to the public.
The house has been cordoned off by police and family members of the deceased are being supported by specialist officers.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Inquiries remain ongoing, however at this stage we are not currently seeking anyone else in relation to the deaths.
“The families of the deceased continue to be supported by our specialist officers.
“We would again ask that people refrain from any speculation, both in public and on social media, as officers continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.”
