Although petrol prices continue to remain high, some areas are seeing a drop – despite recent findings that the UK ranked bottom for European countries that have acted on fuel prices.
This week, it was revealed that UK petrol prices are not falling in line with wholesale cost according to the RAC.
Over the last eight weeks, the average price paid for unleaded by drivers across the UK has only dropped by 9p a litre, despite wholesale petrol prices falling by 20p during the same time period.
According to the motoring organisation, this means a litre of petrol should be 167p on average, not the current 183p.
