A cinema is opening its doors to four-legged film fans next week with a special dog-friendly screening.

The Station Cinema in Richmond will welcome visitors and their dogs to a screening of the DC League of Super-Pets on Wednesday, August 3.

In order to make sure canine companions are comfortable, the cinema lights will be dimmed, and the volume lower than at normal screenings.

Water bowls and complimentary doggy treats will also be on offer to dogs attending the screening.

DC League of Super-Pets tells the story of Superman, and his Super-Dog sidekick, Krypto.

Featuring the vocal talents of Dwayne Johnson, Keanu Reeves and John Krasinski, this canine caper is set to be a big hit this summer.

Cinema manager Dan Westgarth said: “The Station is a community space where dogs are welcome, and we are delighted that visitors’ four-legged friends can experience this fun family film at The Station Cinema, in what is a first for our charity run cinema.”

Tickets are now on sale at stationcinema.com and attendees must take along a blanket for their dogs to sit on during the screening.
