A pub has reopened its doors after receiving significant investment and a facelift.

The renovation of The Fountain, Middlesbrough, was backed by a £120,000 investment and is now welcoming customers and the local community again.

The interior of the pub has had a makeover giving it a modern feel while retaining its traditional pub character.

There are also six TVs, where you can watch all of the sporting action. There is also a function room available for hire, renamed by Neal and Andrew as The Harland Boase Lounge, which caters to any occasion.

The pub’s bar, made of dark wood with blue panels along the front and is home to a range of taps, which include Heineken Silver, Carling and Birra Moretti.

The outside area has several tables, fitted with large umbrellas and surrounded by grass walls.

Dishes on offer include burgers, pizzas, and homemade pies, to local Middlesbrough dishes such as parmos. There is also a takeaway menu and the pub also serves Sunday roasts.

Thursdays is designated curry, quiz and karaoke night, with curry served from 5pm-8pm. On Friday’s join resident DJ Steve for Motown to Love Town from 7pm until late, where all the music is accompanied by the original and live footage.

Neal Bullock and Andrew Platts are the new Licensees of The Fountain and have big plans for the future of the pub.

“It is great to welcome everyone into The Fountain, with its fresh new look,” Mr Bullock said.

“This a real community pub and we are excited to be offering a range of great food and drinks to the Ormesby area as well as providing entertainment and a space to come and have some fun as well as relax.

“Andrew and I are very excited for the future of The Fountain and have many ideas of how to make this a social hub for the community. Everyone is welcome, so pop in!”
