A bus station in Whitby has been damaged and offensive language spray painted on a nearby bin as police have issued an appeal for the incident.

The incident took place between 5pm and 6pm on Friday July 1 when the man cause damage to Whitby Bus Station.

Police have described the man as dressed all in black, wearing a hat and carrying a shopping bag.

Officers are requesting information from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information which could help the investigation.
