It is a venue many have described as legendary, amazing and even top class, and now a number of forgotten pictures have reminded us what a buzzing night out it was.

The place to be, The Tall Trees nightclub and hotel in Yarm still holds a special place in the hearts of clubbers across Teesside and the North East.

Home to Club Macmillans - also known affectionately as Club M - the venue attracted star-studded guests and proved a huge hit throughout the noughties.

It was not unpopular to see Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Rolls Royces parked around the fountain as names including Pete Tong and Russell Brand landed.

We've delved into our archives to bring you just a selection of the dozens of pictures we have from various night outs at the Tall Trees.

On one exciting occasion, Girls Aloud lifted the roof for the TFM Sweet Night event at Club M, leaving thousands of clubbers ecstatic.

Northern Echo readers have previously paid tribute to the venue, which closed back in 2010 after many years of clubbing service.

Paul Stabler said it was the place to be and added: "The Tall Trees, when Judge Jules, Pete Tong and Russel Brand used to go.

Marie James added: "Absolutely top class nights had in that awesome place."

Sadly, there's no chance of it making a return as the venue was left gutted by a fire shortly after its closure and has since been demolished.
