Reward for information leading to arrest of wanted Sunderland man

Independent charity Crimestoppers have offered the reward to anyone who passes intelligence to them anonymously which leads to the 37-year-old being detained.

Searches are ongoing for Ball, who also goes by the name of Chrissy, who is wanted on prison recall.

Officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries in a bid to locate him and he is actively evading arrest.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "We are actively searching for Ball and believe that there will be people out in the community who have seen him.

"Crimestoppers have now offered a reward of up to £1,000 for anybody who passes on crucial information that leads to his swift arrest, and we would encourage anybody who does know anything to contact them direct.

"We do not want anybody to get into trouble on Ball’s account and would like to remind everyone that it is a criminal offence to harbour a wanted fugitive.

"That offence could lead to a potential jail term. The best outcome for everyone is for Ball to hand himself in."
