POLICE have released a picture of a second motorbike they believe was involved in an incident that left one man fighting for his life.

Easington Road in Hartlepool was closed for 24-hours while collision investigators searched for evidence following a collision involving a motorbike and a black Range Rover car. 

Cleveland Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses, CCTV and dash cam footage after the collision around 8.30pm on Thursday, June 23.

Detectives now believe that a second motorbike was involved in the incident before making off from the scene.

A force spokeswoman said a man in his twenties suffered with suspected head, pelvic and leg injuries. He remains in hospital in a “critical but stable” condition.

A 20-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident was released under investigation.

The Range Rover believed to be involved made off from the scene.

Officers are again appealing for CCTV and dash cam footage and they also want to speak to any witnesses.
