A man has been charged in connection with a collision which killed a mum-of-three.

Justine Wedgwood, 50, died in the collision in Boosbeck, east Cleveland, on Sunday.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. 

He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court today.

A second man, aged 37, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Officers have now arrested a third man, aged 27, also on suspicion of assisting an offender and he remains in police custody at this time.

The collision happened in Boosbeck Road around 10.45pm on Sunday.

Ms Wedgwood, who had three children and three grandchildren, was killed after being hit by a vehicle.
