CCTV footage of a vehicle suspected to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision has been released.

Police are trying to find a silver Volvo XC90, with registration plate SV04 TFE.

Officers are investigating a collision which killed 50-year-old mum-of-three Justine Wedgwood in Boosbeck on Sunday.

The vehicle is still believed to be in the east Cleveland area, possibly somewhere between Skelton and Guisborough. 

Officers are appealing to trace the vehicle as part of their ongoing investigation, and would appeal to anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle to get in touch with them on 101.

Detective Chief Inspector Shaun Page said: “It is really important that we locate and recover the outstanding vehicle as part of our ongoing enquiries. I would urge anyone with any information to call Cleveland Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

50-year-old local woman Justine Wedgwood sadly died following the incident on Boosbeck Road around 10:45pm on Sunday (19 June).

Last night, her family paid tribute to the mother and grandmother, saying they were "lost, confused and truly heartbroken" following her death.

A 33-year-old man and a 37-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident remain in police custody at this time.
