DETECTIVES have released an image of man they are hunting following a robbery at a convenience store in a North-East village. 

The incident happened around 9:25pm on Friday June 17 at the One Stop store in Eaglescliffe.

Threats were made before the suspect left the store with cash and got onto a pedal cycle before cycling in the direction of Albert Road and then Victoria Road.

The suspect is described as wearing a blue hooded top with the hood up, grey tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.

Officers believe the male in the image may have been in the area of Sunningdale shops prior to the incident and would appeal for him to come forward.

Anyone who may know who the man in the image is, is asked to call Cleveland Police on 101.

Anyone who may have CCTV or dash cam footage along the route pictured (Sunningdale Walk, Muirfield and Sunningdale Road) between 9pm and 10pm on Friday 17th June is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting incident number 104059, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
