Two buses have crashed into each other in Darlington, leaving passengers waiting for a replacement and one young passenger ‘hysterical’.

The two Arriva busses were both operating the number 2 route from Red Hall to Branksome when the collision happened on Tuesday (June 21) morning.

The incident, which took place on Egglestone View, Darlington, reportedly occurred when one of the single-deck vehicles tried to pass the other while it was at a bus stop.

Passengers had their journeys delayed while another bus was sent to collect them and take over the service.
