The A167 has been closed for the “foreseeable future” after a “serious” crash in the early hours of the morning, police have said.
The incident happened soon after 3am this morning and took place on the A167 between Junction 59 on the A1(M) and the White Horse Hotel leading into Darlington.

Police closed the road in both directions and told the closure will be in place “for the foreseeable future.”
Drivers have been asked to use an alternative route into Darlington due to the incident.
