PARAMEDICS were called to the scene of a crash in Darlington earlier this week as a statement has been released.

The North East Ambulance Service sent one crew to the scene at the junction of Abbey Road and Cleveland Road at around 7.30pm on Tuesday.

Pictures from the scene show one car toppled onto its side with another vehicle with a smashed bonnet and front bumper. 

Onlookers rushed to the scene to help those affected. Nobody was taken to hospital. 

The Northern Echo:

A NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 7.26pm to reports of a road traffic incident on Cleveland Avenue, Darlington. We dispatched one ambulance crew, and treated and discharged one patient on scene."

Durham Constabulary said it was also called to the incident. 

“Police were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Cleveland Avenue, in Darlington, shortly before 7.30pm on Tuesday, May 24,” a spokeswoman said.
