A NORTH Yorkshire castle recently held a “Festival of Dogs” where our canine friends had the opportunity to take part in a range of activities – and we’ve pulled together the best images from the event.

Our furry friends took part in a range of activities including “The Clever Canine Circus” which saw dogs and owners take part in a circus event headed by Ringleader Deborah.

Following that came the “Manvers Lake Bears: Working Newfoundlands” which gave visitors a chance to see Newfoundland dogs rescue people from the water and use their size to provide aid and support.

Visitors could also see “Ryedale Dog Rescue Dog Show” which demonstrates how the Dog and Sheep Show control their sheep dogs at different stages of their training.

Roaming the festival throughout the weekend was WonderPhil and Just Josh who combined magic, juggling, balloon modelling and more in their act.

York Dog Park also brought  their enclosed fields to Castle Howard which featured displays and obstacles that dogs could play with.
