AS Darlington prepares for  the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Darlington Hippodrome is celebrating in its own way.

The team at the Hippodrome has organised a special tour taking place on Monday May 30, Tuesday May 31 and Wednesday June 1.

The Archive and Queen Tea tour will include all public areas of the theatre, as well as the auditorium and backstage.

This tour will also celebrate the history of the Hippodrome over the last 100 years and allow the public to explore the theatre's archive including programmes, photographs and more.

The tour will conclude with a cream tea, consisting of a hot drink of the participant’s choice and a scone with jam and clotted cream.
