National training provider, Learning Curve Group, is bringing its successful Hair and Beauty training academies to Newcastle later this month.

The group already has seven academies across the North East and London that support hundreds of learners every year to achieve qualifications to succeed as stylists, barbers and beauty therapists. In 2021 the academies were awarded Hair and Beauty Apprenticeship Provider of the Year at AAC Awards.

The new academy will be opening in Wallsend with an official open event on Saturday 28th May, when there will be master classes from some of the region’s top makeup artists, a chance to have a tour around the top of the range facilities and talk to staff and tutors about the opportunities available.

Learners at the academies are taught by experienced tutors who have previously worked in the industry. The state of the art academies were designed to replicate a working hair and beauty salon so the learners gain experience of working in an engaging and real life environment.

The salons are equipped with the latest technologies and Loreal products to ensure the learners are gaining skills in relevant and new trends. LCG’s Newcastle Academy is over 3,000 square foot over two floors, with a barbering, styling and colouring stations, beauty rooms and multiple training rooms for classroom based learning.

Judith Allen, Director of Academies at LCG, said: “I am so excited to bring our award-winning Hair and Beauty provision to Newcastle. Our Academies give learners a chance to discover what it is like to work in a real life salon with high quality equipment and products.

“Our learners gain valuable experience which will set them up with the skills and qualities that employers in the hair and beauty industry are looking for.

“I am looking forward to welcoming the next generation of hair and beauty professionals into our academy.”

Learning Curve Group already has 50 skills based academies across the country which specialise in industries such as Construction, Business, and Military Preparation.

The group supports thousands of learners through their academies every year and help them begin their careers.
