A WI group is celebrating their centenary this month and dressed to impress with fashions spanning its 100-year-history.

The 100-year-old Worsall WI is as strong as ever, with membership currently standing at 32 and looking forward to the next century.

To mark the milestone, members organised events including a formal dinner at Worsall Village Hall, with guests including past presidents and the wider WI federation.

Members were encouraged to dress to reflect the 100-years of fashion, which everyone did with gusto.

The event was also an opportunity to unveil the Worsall WI Commemorative Banner, produced by the very talented members.

This reflects life in Worsall and will now be a feature at all future meetings and events.

Liz Evans, President, said: "It was wonderful to be part of such a great team who worked hard to ensure all elements of the evening came together and ensured that a good time was had by all.

"I am very proud to be President of such an enthusiastic and talented WI’’.

This was just one element of the celebrations so far.

This achievement was acknowledged during the Spring Council Meeting at The Spa, Scarborough and a community Coffee and Cake morning at the weekend (May 14).
