TWO people were taken to hospital following a “police incident” in the early hours of Saturday.

Emergency services were called to a property in Killinghall Street, Darlington, just after 2am on Saturday, May 14.

Two people were transported to hospital.

The BBC has reported that a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection to the incident.

It is understood one of the men taken to hospital is stable while the other has been discharged.

The Northern Echo:

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: “We received a 999 call just after 2am on Saturday to reports of a police incident at a private address on Killinghall Street in Darlington. 

“We sent a clinical team leader, a specialist paramedic, two emergency ambulance crews and requested support from the doctor at Great North Air Ambulance and transported two patients to hospital."

Durham Police was unable to confirm any details about the incident when contacted for comment.

It is believed to be an isolated incident.
