FOUR North East schools are on their way to Wembley - thanks to Durham Women and Vision for Education.
The FA Women’s Championship club have been partnered with the educational recruitment company since 2014, in what is now one of the longest-running shirt sponsorship deals in the country. Since the relationship began, the club and Vision for Education have sent hundreds of children to England’s national stadium to watch international or cup final fixtures.
And that is continuing this weekend, with 50 pupils and members of staff from across the region given free tickets and travel to watch Sunday's Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester City.
The excited students from Consett Academy, Durham Johnston, Belmont Community School and Farringdon Community Academy were presented with their tickets by Durham Women midfielder and Northern Ireland international Sarah Robson.
