A PENSIONER has died in hospital following a serious crash near the entrance of the Newcastle Falcons' Kingston Park Stadium.

Police have appealed for information following the three-vehicle crash in Brunton Road at about 3.40pm on Friday, April 29.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended the scene and a man in his 70s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"Sadly, he has since passed away in hospital.

"The man’s next of kin has been notified and is being offered support by specialist officers."

Now, as part of their ongoing enquiries, officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to get in touch.

They especially want to hear from anybody who was travelling in the area who may have dashcam footage that can assist their investigation.
