A MAN accused of raping a teenager in a Darlington park has appeared in court.

Luke Boyce, 21, of Emmanuel Close, Darlington, has been charged with two counts of rape and one of assault by penetration.

A teenager reported that she had been raped by a man in Stanhope Park at around 11.30pm on April 8 this year.

The 21-year-old, of Emmanuel Close, Darlington, entered not guilty pleas to all three charges when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court via videolink from Durham Prison.

Boyce, who will go on trial in October, was remanded in custody.
