A 25-STRONG team from a North Yorkshire real estate agency are set to take on triathlon challenge this weekend in order to raise money for charity.

The team from Eddison’s building and project consultancy division will be taking part in the challenge as their sixth fundraiser in as many years.

25 colleagues will compete in Harrogate Sprint Triathlon this Sunday, May 8 with the aim of raising £7,500 for the British Heart Foundation.

The effort is in support of a colleague whose father died this year due to a heart complication.

Consisting of 420 pool swim, a 24km cycle race and a 4.6km run, the team aims to complete the challenge in under 2 hours.

Joseph Fitszsimmons, Eddisons building and project consultancy director, said the team had been “training hard together whenever we can.”

He added: “We set ourselves an ambitious target which we’re determined to reach and are all “spurred on by the knowledge that the money we raise will help fund life-saving research into heart “and circulatory diseases, which unfortunately are one of the biggest killers in the UK.”

Mr Fitszsimmons said he hoped all the hard work “will pay off with a respectable time on the day” and they would achieve “a good result for the British Heart Foundation”.
