Mr Amjid Ahmed, owner of Premier Food Stores in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, has been chosen from thousands of stores across the UK as eBay Store of the Quarter. The award is presented jointly by eBay and Collect+ to recognise excellent customer service provided by stores in processing parcels for the two companies and Mr Ahmed won for the efficiency of scanning, which then alerts customers that a parcel is ready for collection.

“Our aim is to make collecting parcels easier for locals and it’s good to be able to give our customers the peace of mind of knowing their parcel is being kept in a safe place until they can collect it. It’s great to win this award and be recognised for all our hard work so we’ll definitely be putting the award on display in the shop where our customers can see it!” said Mr Ahmed.

In addition to receiving his trophy, Mr Ahmed was presented with a £250 Love to Shop voucher to spend online to treat himself. Despite Collect+ having more than 10,000 in-store pick up and drop off points in the UK, we have a feeling we know where Amjid will be getting his parcels delivered…

Collect+, a subsidiary of PayPoint, connects a network of delivery hubs located in thousands of newsagents, convenience stores and supermarkets offering a simple, convenient way to collect, return and send parcels seven days a week. Through their partnerships with leading couriers and retailers, Collect+ combines the benefits and experience of offline shopping with the convenience of online shopping.
