A CRASH is causing mile-long tailbacks in the Harrogate area.
It happened at around noon today on the A59 High Street westbound at the A6055 Boroughbridge Road.
The AA says that the incident led to queuing traffic stretching a mile-long for traffic arriving into Harrogate on the A59 westbound.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find an alternative route while emergency services work at the scene.
