PERFORMING arts students are all set to share the stage this Easter with a North East panto star.

Young actors from Walter-Gunn Performing Arts will star in ‘Peter Plank in…It’s Bearly Easter’ this April at Brinkburn C.I.O in South Shields.

Chloe Millar is known for her roles in pantomimes across Tyneside and played Fairy Ferndew in Rapunzel at The Customs House in 2021.

The role of Peter Plank was originally going to be played by writer and actor Wayne Miller, however, he decided the role should go to Chloe.

Wayne is the writer and star of family favourite Santa’s Naughty Elf, a popular pantomime for the under 7s which ran in the North East for eleven years.

“After seeing Chloe perform and working alongside her, I knew she would bring something special and fresh to the role of Peter Plank. Here in the North East, we have an abundance of talent working so hard to get roles. I see that and want to do anything I can to create opportunities and give them any chance I can to shine,” said Wayne

‘Peter Plank in…It’s Bearly Easter’ will be performed on April 13 and 14 at 11:30am and 2:30pm at Brinkburn C.I.O in South Shields.
