A daily prize of £100 could be won as well as a monthly prize of £1,000, which can roll over to a maximum of £25,000 before it must be won.

Sue, from Durham, is well known in the region having presented for over 20 years at BBC Radio Newcastle and also performing as a stand-up comedian.

Sue said: "St Cuthbert's has always been very close to my heart and I am very proud that we have care like this available to the residents of County Durham.

"Several members of my family have used the service in the past so I'm very aware of the wonderful work the Hospice does and the need to keep these services running in our community.”

“Over the years it has been a privilege to be a part of so many Hospice fundraising events and to be associated with such an amazing charity. I'm absolutely thrilled that I've been given this opportunity to work within the Win Win Lottery team and not only have the chance to see someone win a life-changing amount of money, but to also know that each player is making a huge difference to other people’s lives too.”

“I’m looking forward to getting out and about and spreading the word about the Hospice. It’s amazing just how many people know about this brilliant charity already. If you see me out and about in the coming weeks, please do come and say hello."

Laura Barker, Head of Income Generation at St Cuthbert’s Hospice, said: “Sue has supported the Hospice for many years, regularly being involved in annual fundraising events such as our 5K Rainbow Ramble and Ladies Lunch. To have her officially join the team and help to raise the profile of our care and our Win Win Lottery is very exciting for us.

"It’s been such a challenging couple of years for the Hospice, but thanks to the kindness of people in our community we have been able to continue to care for all who need us. We’re looking forward to getting back to promoting our events and ways to support us such as the Lottery.”
