A MOTORIST was fined and given six penalty points after driving while using a mobile phone.

Marcel Robert Serea, 32, of Princes Road, Middlesbrough was caught using his phone while driving in Hartlepool on June 19 last year.

He was driving a Ford Fiesta on the A689 east bound at the time.

He pleaded guilty on November 16 and appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 20, when he was fined £192 and given six penalty points.
