A ROAD in Swanage has been closed to urgent broadband works can be carried out.
Washpond Lane has been closed to all traffic in both directions from the junction with Brickyard Lane to Godlingston Cemetery.
BT-owned broadband provider Openreach needs safe access to carry out urgent works to restore service to customers.
The closure will be in operation from 9.30am until 3pm on Thursday, January 20.
It can remain in force for up to five days, however, a public notice states it is anticipated that the works will be completed by today.
An alternative route will signpost motorists from Washpond Lane to Northbrook Road, A351 Victoria Avenue, A351 High Street and vice versa.
