A NORTH East criminal thought to be hiding out in Alicante and Marbella has been named in the UK’s ‘most wanted criminals’ list after being involved in numerous criminal activities.

Twenty-three-year-old Callum Michael Allan was listed alongside eleven other ‘most wanted men’ that are evading arrest and thought to be in Spain or the Spanish Islands.

Allan, who is wanted by Northumbria Police, has allegedly being involved in drug dealing, as well as assaulting an emergency worker, affray and dangerous driving.

According to the police force and UK agencies, the last known address of the 23-year-old was in South Shields.

He is described as slim, white, around 5ft 11in, with fine hair, blue eyes, and a Tyneside accent, and is thought to be in Spanish Islands Alicante and Marbella.

Allan is wanted alongside some of the worst and most sought after in the UK, including Asim Naveed, 29, who is accused of being the leader of a drug smuggling gang that brought 46kg of cocaine, worth nearly £8 million, into Wales between February and June 2020, and Nana Oppong, 41, from Essex, who is wanted over the drive-by killing of Robert Powell, 50, who was shot eight times with a 9mm pistol on June 13 2020.

The operation is part of a joint response between UK and Spanish policing, which is aiming to flush criminals out of Spain and behind bars in the UK.

As part of the campaign, involving the UK National Crime Agency (NCA) and Spanish officials, which was launched in Madrid today (January 19), a rogues' gallery of men wanted for crimes including murder and dealing in guns and drugs was unveiled.
