FOLLOWING a strong 12 months for Newcastle based financial technology experts ION, the business has secured a three-year £1.3m contract with Quotient Sciences, a global drug development and manufacturing accelerator.

The deal will focus on Quotient Sciences’ financial technology to implement a unified cloud platform to support their business, and signals the start of a big push for ION in 2022 which will see further growth into the pharmaceutical sector.

The company’s success in 2021 has seen significant investment in recruitment and infrastructure with the team expanding over 100% to 42 employees in the last 12 months, and with further growth planned in 2022.
